2021 Richard B. Marchase Research Symposium
The annual Richard B. Marchase, PhD Research Symposium is an opportunity to celebrate and encourage interdisciplinary research among members of the campus research community, our students, and trainees. The 2021 symposium includes a keynote address by Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and presentation of the annual Marchase Award to Dr. Andrea L. Cherrington, a faculty member who embodies the spirit of collaboration and fellowship of Dr. Marchase and who promotes interdisciplinary research at UAB. The annual symposium is financially supported by the UAB Office of Research, as well as the Friends of Richard B. Marchase, PhD endowed fund, which was established in 2017 to foster opportunities for interdisciplinary research and enhance a spirit of camaraderie among the UAB research community.
